Trends

Trends...A topic brought to my mind by thinking of Club Penguin. Yes I know Club Penguin, I haven't played that game in years, but still have six penguins to which I only remember the user name ans password to two if I'm lucky. Anyway when I was younger and would go over to my two particular friends house we would play Sims (all different versions), Club Penguin, and Webkinz! All of these games were amazing to us!!! We thought they were the coolest thing! Now you see Call of Duty graphics look back and are like Pssh! Yeah right those are great?!?!HA! But game trends come and go like fashion trends, sometimes they pass more quickly! I have read books, and seen movies/ TV shows where there's a spoiled brat girl who HAS to have the latest styles. Getting to caught up in the trends is easy to do. Lets say you see a girl wearing this REALLY cute Aeropostale shirt while she's walking down the hall now you HAVE to have it! ...Right? I mean it seems to be the coolest thing and really cute! Two weeks later the girl who was wearing the shirt realizes everyone is wearing Aeropstale shirts, jeans, sweatshirts, etc. So she decides to start wearing Forever 21 instead, and the same thing happens!!! I once read a children's book (Hey those things are appropriate and educational) where a girl can't decide how to wear her hair... So one day she comes in with it in a side ponytail, people make fun of her she says she likes it. She comes to school the next day and everyone's wearing their hair in a side ponytail. The same thing happens with many more hairstyles, so she finally say the next day she's coming to school with a shaved head!!! So when she gets to school the next day EVERYONE including the boys and teachers had shaved their heads!!! ...And she had her hair in a side ponytail. I think the moral of the story is if the people of the world can't learn to be individuals then we will all be the same and boring! It's ok to follow trends (unless it's like taking drugs or under age drinking) but there's always a way to personalize it and make it less of a trend! Trends make us less unique which isn't cool, sure we all want to have that poof in the middle of our hair because it's tres cute! But everyone's doing it so it's not as cool to me. I'm the kinda person who HATES people copying me I absolultely hate it!!! People say it's the bhiggest form of flattery but I still hate it :)~ (:P) Either way be yourself cause otherwise it'll be a really boring world! :) <3

Sickness

I am soo sick! Unfortunately it doesn't show on the outside how horrible I feel inside. Now normally that's a good thing no one wants to look sick but if I don't look sick my mom's convinced that I'm faking. My older sister got tasked with my chores while I'm sick (I've only been sick a freakin' day it's not that long!). But my mother has decided that she get $10.00 out of my allowance for it I don't even get $10 dollars for a day of "work". All she has to do is fold the laundry, sweep, mop, and vacuum hardly anything and nothing that hard!!! Sorry just feelin like crap and had to complain!

"The Friend Code"

Okay so I did my very much needed "Fashion Column" now i have to do my regular "Column".
There are so many things left unsaid and unwritten mostly because people tend to just accept it and know it's there to be respected and the unwritten and unsaid rule followed. Now the issue with this is that when you want to accuse someone of breaking one of or all of these rules is you can’t prove they exist. One of these unwritten unsaid “codes” is the friendship code. Now I’m lucky enough to have a friend that shares my views on friendship, not all my views on life but friendship views are airtight. Now we as pretty much every single middle school student have our group of friends and five of us in it. Four of us extremely different, special, and unique in our own ways but tighter than could be, red hair, brown hair, blond hair, brown eyes, and blue eyes differences sometimes make up friendships.
Now the fifth girl never liked me don’t ask me why, because if I knew I would be all over it fixing the problem and ignoring her, but my friends are her friends so no way to ditch her and I wouldn’t want to ditch anyone like that you know just dump her straight out of the group of friends. That would be horrible but then she’s doing some things that are unforgivable. Breaking the friend code is one this but stealing a grenade launcher from Halo 3 and shooting at it continuously… Well that’s another thing. I don’t know the world of middle school is nothing if not full of ridiculous drama! And there I am without popcorn *Sigh*

Special Thanks to Katy my best friend who only god knows where i would be without her! <3>

Designers

There are thousands and thousands of designers in the Unites States, how many? Well even the high and mighty Google didn't know the answer! There and tens of thousands of wannabe designers in the U.S as well. You can go to school at any art institute or at Parsons The New School For Design, where at least two of Thakoon Panichgul's interns went. Who is Thankoon? Well he's known as the Prince of Prints, Michelle Obama wore one of HIS dresses to the celebration when her husband (in case you're stupid President Obama is her husband) excepted the democratic nomination! Designing is more of an art than Picasso... Well maybe not that big but it's still pretty dang big! Except with Picasso it was one talented bald dude, with fashion it's what everyone's striving for even if you already have it you'll always be looking for more, because the fashion world is always changing. Always changing... When someone says that not specifying what they're talking about I think throwing out the old bringing in the new. I mean that's just what I see. But the magic of fashion it's transforming the old into something new. Like kind of what Karl Lagerfeld is doing with Channel (Now I'm almost positive I've said this before but if you don't know what channel is and you're pronouncing it like a TV channel GOOGLE IT!). But anyway Karl Lagerfeld the man who took over channel changing the fashion industry, being an icon to young people every where. In the book "Designer Knockoff" By Ellen Byerrum It says a "Star is Worn" Talking about something totally different but still when wearing designer if wearing something like Marc Jacobs you really are wearing a star. Karl Lagerfeld tells people not to let their ego take over their designs because then you will turn people off your designs, and Marc Jacobs sums up what he does in one line "I just make stuff maybe that's demystifying the whole thing, but that's what it is".
