Shoes

Do you realize what shoes are in style right this minute? Okay if you do would you wear them out everyday? 'Cause I wouldn't to save my life! If you don't know who Coco Chanel is you have serious issues. If you do know who she is good everyone should know who she is! She would HATE all these shoes! She believed in "Elegance" and knew what was fashion. If you still have no idea who I'm talking about go buy the book "The gospel according to Coco Chanel". In fact i think I'll quote that book. "Chanel ran screaming from the latest fads. She considered them to be expressions of cheesy grandstanding, and, anyway, they rarely held to her standards of SIMPLE ELEGANCE. Thus ponchos, stirrup pants or backless dresses cut in a manner that revels your thong are definitely NOT chanel. If you own anything that has epaulets ( and you are not in the armed forces), an unnecessary amount of fabric, ill-fitting arms, or hulk-sized shoulder pads, it is not chanel. Anything related to the grunge revival, featuring ripped tights that look as if you've barely survived a mugging? Uh,no." I think many of these things describe fashion ( at least what most consider it to be) right now. Now go look at designer websites look at the shoes and ONLY the shoes and think about it, would you really wear those shoes everyday and be proud to wear them? Then go to http://www.barneys.com/ and click on shoes , on the left side of the page it will say "designers" click more then Manolo Blahniks, and think if you would wear those everyday and be proud. If you like the Manolos and hate the others you are (in my opinion) very good at recognizing cheesy and elegant, and if you like the others you are in my opinion an idiot. That's my opinion. I think that there are to many brands of shoes most of which should not exist. I mean have you seen those shoes!!! High heeled boots cool! Things that look like your grandfathers slippers so NOT cool!
